Audra Kaplan, Technology Integration Specialist Technology Integration Specialist at Groton-Dunstable Regional School District. Holds a master’s degree from Lesley University in Educational Technology. Prior to completing her degree and becoming a technology integrator, Audra spent over 10 years in the classroom teaching science, math, and computer technology classes. At Groton-Dunstable Ms. Kaplan works to integrate technology into student and staff learning, building the computer science program, and making global connections with and for students as part of their Global Scholars program. Ms. Kaplan was recognized as one of 100 teachers nationally by NCWIT and the NSF because of her efforts to support Computer Science in Education. During the 100 Teachers Meeting in Washington DC in December of 2014, honorees were invited to the White House. Jeannie Erickson, Psychology Teacher A veteran teacher of Psychology and Health education at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School. She began her career in education after receiving a master’s degree in counseling from Fitchburg State College. Prior to her career in education and counseling, she worked in health related careers and was a health educator and dental health representative for the Utah State Department of Health. Mrs. Erickson has come to embrace technology and enjoys integrating technology into student learning while giving her students lots of options and choices when it comes to projects. She has recently become interested in making global connections with and for students as part of Groton-Dunstable's Global Scholars program. When away from school Mrs. Erickson enjoys spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Janice DeBenedictis, Social Studies Teacher A 19-year veteran teacher in the Social Sciences at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School, Ms. DeBenedictis currently instructs courses geared to reaching a wide variety of learners in World History and Sociology. Janice earned a double Bachelor Degree in both History and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She continued her education at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell earning her Master’s Degree in Education with a History Concentration. Although starting her career with a chalkboard and overhead projector, her pedagogy has evolved to incorporate the use of a variety of technology in her lessons which has transformed student engagement and learning. Ms. DB seeks to capitalize on that reality to help students succeed in the classroom. Outside of school, Ms. DB enjoys spending time with her family and continuing to expand her craft as a professional educator.
